About Georgia Public Benefits Support

Georgia Public Benefits Support is an independent public-service guide that helps Georgians find and apply for the assistance programs they are entitled to. Instead of forcing people to learn the bureaucracy, the site lets you describe your situation in plain words — "I need help buying groceries for my three kids" — and returns a clear, step-by-step Path Map with the real links to apply.

We cover every major Georgia benefits program, including SNAP (food stamps), Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids, WIC, TANF cash assistance, Childcare and Parent Services (CAPS), LIHEAP energy assistance, housing and rental help, and unemployment insurance. Each program is presented with the time it takes to apply and a plain-language eligibility summary, so you can decide where to start before investing your time.

The site was built for Georgians who may be navigating a stressful moment — a lost job, a new baby, an unexpected bill, a sudden illness — and who deserve to be treated as guests rather than case numbers. That includes working families, single parents, seniors, people with disabilities, and anyone helping a neighbor find help. Our design favors calm spacing, high-contrast text, and plain language so the experience stays accessible to older adults and anyone with limited vision.

Georgia Public Benefits Support is built and maintained by an independent team as a civic resource. We are not part of any Georgia state agency, and we do not sell insurance or any third-party "navigator" product. Our only job is to make the official doors easier to find — pointing you to verified portals such as Georgia Gateway, the Division of Family and Children Services, the Department of Community Affairs, and the Georgia Department of Labor, and translating the paperwork into a path you can actually follow.
